Virtuous classical guitarist Ali Arango will offer a concert at the Palau de la Música (Barcelona) on September 30, 2017 at 9:00 p.m.
Ali Arango is one of the most outstanding guitarists of his generation. With a virtuosity at the service of musicality and a balanced mix of subtlety and expressive force, it has conquered all kinds of audiences and jurors. Graduated from the “Amadeo Roldán” Conservatory (Havana, Cuba) and the Conservatori del Liceu de Barcelona with the highest qualification and the Extraordinary Prize (All instruments). At the same time, he was a pupil of the Masters Antonio Alberto Rodríguez and Joaquín Clerch. He has received occasional lessons from Leo Brouwer and has participated in various projects with the Maestro.
He has won 22 awards in international classical guitar competitions, among which are:

He has toured Catalonia as a soloist, for Cuba with the National Symphony Orchestra, invited by Leo Brouwer and China. He has also played in Italy, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Germany, Mexico and USA. He has performed the World premiere of three works by Brouwer: “Cuban Landscape with Sadness” (solo guitar); “Gismontiana” (for four guitars and string orchestra) and Series Nº1 of “Ritual and Festive Dances” (for solo guitar) and usually performed in important venues such as: Palau de la Música Catalana, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Manuel de Falla, National Theater of Cuba, among others.
